FifHO Conference on 21 September 2026 / FifHO Doctoral Colloquium on 22 September 2026

First conference of the Forschungsstelle für interdisziplinäre föderale Hochschulrechtsvergleichung (FifHO)

On 21 September 2026, the Forschungsstelle für interdisziplinäre föderale Hochschulrechtsvergleichung (FifHO – Research Centre for the Interdisciplinary Federal Comparison of Higher Education Law) will hold its first conference in Hannover. Under the title "Comparing Higher Education Law in the Federal System: Legal and Social Science Perspectives", researchers will gather at the new Forum Wissenschaftsreflexion research building (Im Moore 23, 30167 Hannover) to explore the federal-comparative study of higher education law from both legal and social science perspectives – rounded off by a panel discussion on higher education governance across the federal states.

Immediately afterwards, on 22 September 2026, the research centre hosts a doctoral colloquium. It is aimed at all those pursuing a doctorate in higher education law or on topics related to it – including from a social science perspective – who are interested in the federal-comparative approach.
