Proposal (2 pages max)
Please attach a proposal addressing the following points:
- Research question(s) to be addressed
- Planned outcome of the research stay at the LCSS (project proposal, publication, other)
- Planned cooperation partners at LCSS
- Planned dates/duration of stay

Academic CV
Please include a CV highlighting the key stages of your academic career. The CV should clearly state the applicant's nationality, current home institution, and position.
Please note: The DISSS Fellowship is aimed at international researchers. Researchers without German citizenship must have spent at least 12 months outside Germany in the last 18 months; German citizens can apply if they have been permanently based abroad for at least 5 years.
The CV is not restricted to research activities, but should also highlight key activities in the field of “third mission” (e.g., knowledge and technology transfer, positions as editors of scientific jounals and other engagement in scientific communities, education, and social engagement). Engagement in this area will be considered positively in the selection process.

Please attach a list containing the following publications:
- Your key peer reviewed publications (10 max)
- Your key publications without peer review - books, press articles, reports, etc. (10 max)
Additional publications will not be taken into consideration.

Application process
The LCSS Executive Board selects fellows for the DISSS fellowship programme once per semester, with the start of the research stay in the following semester at the earliest.
The selection of candidates is based on the following criteria:
- Scientific excellence
- Key achievements of candidates in the area of “Third Mission”
- Fit with the research priorities of the LCSS and potential for cooperation
All applicants with complete applications will be informed of the decision of the LCSS Executive Board following the respective Executive Board meeting.
