Additional allowances for local mobility, accompanying family members, and travel costs for arrival and departure

A vibrant research environment in the new “Forum Wissenschaftsreflexion” research building with events and further opportunities to network with interdisciplinary researchers at the LCSS, the Forum Wissenschaftsreflexion, and other researchers in the research focus area of interdisciplinary studies of science and society at Leibniz University Hannover

We are looking for

Established researchers

3-11 years after the doctorate

Leading researchers

permanent positions at their home institutions

We invite fellows to work on cooperative projects with researchers at LCSS and LUH. This can include  journal publications, book projects project proposals, or projects in science science communication.

Projects should focus on the critical examination of disruptions, i.e., recent societal crises or other transformations affecting the relationship of science and society.

Applications are welcome from researchers from all disciplines engaged in research on science and higher education, including but not limited to sociology, economics, political science, law, and philosophy.

We are looking for international researchers, i.e., individuals whose work and life have been based outside of Germany for at least 12 months within the last 18 months.

Activities in the area of the so-called “third mission” will be considered positively in the application process.

The LCSS seeks to promote diversity and equal opportunity. We are committed to providing an inclusive research environment and supporting researchers whose work may be constrained by political and other circumstances in their home countries.
